Quite a lot has been written about the leader of the “Hull Party” that sailed on the Mary Gold from Weymouth Harbour in Old England on the 20th March 1635 and arrived in New England on the 6th of May 1635

In formulating the structure for my concert presentation although I acknowledge the historical role of Joseph Hull he does not play a major role in our Story.
One of the reasons for this was because Joseph and his family moved away from the early Weymouth settlement after only 4 years in 1639 and relocated to the Plymouth Colony, and there founded the present town of Barnstable, on Cape Cod Massachusetts.
He was however an interesting and somewhat controversial character (as can be seen in several ancestral website )
